Gamergate censorship..

Censorship absolutely disgusts me.

When I read that people on 4chan are being banned over their opinions on gamergate my brain almost imploded. I simply cannot comprehend it. 4chan, one of the only places where people can go and post just about anything, are being censored. This is simply monstrous, and deplorable. When people can’t go to a public forum and discuss their oppinions, it’s a clear display that something is horribly wrong. But the censorship doesn’t stop there. Everyone’s aware of the mass censorship on reddit. Thunderf00t being suspended on twitter, MundaneMatt’s video falsely taken down, the list of bullshit is almost endless. So where is it safe to discuss these or any other topics? Cause forbid if we have opinions, or critique anything.

We cannot let this shit slide. Do not let these people get away with this bullshit! There should be repercussions..

All I said was “#gamergate”

What board did you post in?

But seriously, that’s ridiculous.

It was posted in /v/. I heard this shit was happening in /b/, too.

I have heard the same thing, and those are both appropriate places to post said topic. People being censored on 4chan is baffling.

It just goes to show how fucked up this really is.

Several prominent gaming journalists across America are part of a secret mailing list on which they discuss what to cover, what to ignore, and what approach their coverage should take to breaking news, Breitbart can reveal.

Kyle Orland (senior gaming editor at Ars Technica): “Maybe we should get a public letter of support going around decrying these kinds of personal attacks, signed by as many sympathetic journalists/developers as we can,” he wrote. “Maybe we should just use this as an excuse to give more attention to her work… I know I’ve been meaning to review Depression Quest since its Steam release.”
